Project Description

Broiled Broccoli Toast with Pimento Cheese and Hot Honey
INGREDIENTS
- 1 bag Stahlbush Island Farm Broccoli Florets
- Olive Oil
- Kosher Salt
- Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
- 1 French Baguette, sliced
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 2 teaspoons Chili Flakes
- 1, 10-ounce container Pimento Cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
- Pre-heat the broiler to high.
- Place the broccoli florets in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Broil until the broccoli begins to get dark brown to black tips, 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the broccoli cooks, slice your baguette on a diagonal and lay the slices out on another sheet pan. Drizzle them with a little olive oil, and a sprinkle of salt. When the broccoli is done, place the bread under the broiler until toasted and lightly brown, 3-5 minutes.
- Make the hot honey, by combining the honey and chili flakes in a small pot on the stove. Bring the honey to a simmer to open up all the flavor in the chili flakes, stir to evenly distribute them.
- To assemble the broccoli toasts, spread a generous spoonful of pimento cheese on the toasted baguette, top with the broiled broccoli, and drizzle with the hot honey.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
