Broiled Broccoli Toast with Pimento Cheese and Hot Honey

INGREDIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Pre-heat the broiler to high.
  2. Place the broccoli florets in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Broil until the broccoli begins to get dark brown to black tips, 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. While the broccoli cooks, slice your baguette on a diagonal and lay the slices out on another sheet pan. Drizzle them with a little olive oil, and a sprinkle of salt. When the broccoli is done, place the bread under the broiler until toasted and lightly brown, 3-5 minutes.
  6. Make the hot honey, by combining the honey and chili flakes in a small pot on the stove. Bring the honey to a simmer to open up all the flavor in the chili flakes, stir to evenly distribute them.
  7. To assemble the broccoli toasts, spread a generous spoonful of pimento cheese on the toasted baguette, top with the broiled broccoli, and drizzle with the hot honey.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
