Cauliflower Everything: An Introduction

The Adaptable Vegetable That Demands Your Attention

Cauliflower is an amazing little plant. One thing that makes the Cauliflower truly unique is it’s ability to steal the show in just about any dish! It can also take the place of traditional grains or wheat products. It can act as the bed for steamed vegetables in place of rice. Or it can serve as the base for a simple and elegant soup. It can even be made into a crust for pizza instead of traditional flour and dry yeast with just a few quick tricks. Because of this amazing adaptability, the amount of dishes that cauliflower can make an appearance in are virtually limitless!

Here are just a few that we think are out-of-this world good and absolutely worth spreading the word about:

Cauliflower Crumbles Tabbouleh

Tabbouleh is an arabian salad that uses cracked wheat as a base with chopped ingredients mixed throughout. Although it traditionally uses cracked wheat, the taste profile is very similar to that of a rice bowl. Perhaps the easiest application of Cauliflower is by crumbling it (Don’t worry, we took care of this step for you) and using it as a substitute for rice (or cracked wheat). This tabbouleh recipe is simple and fully adaptable, so you can add whatever ingredients you adore most and the cauliflower will soak up the flavors of whatever you add to it, just like rice!

Cauliflower Crumble Soup

This soup is also very simple to make, with many of the ingredients probably already occupying your pantry and crisper drawer space. It calls for only four ingredients (not including salt and pepper) and a time commitment of just a couple minutes. This soup recipe is the perfect dish for a quick lunch or as a side for a dinner party.

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

This is where things really get good. Cauliflower pizza crust is the rallying cry of anyone that is gluten free or even those just committing to a low-carb diet. It is also extremely simple to accomplish considering it is such a game changer. We have a recipe that is tried and true in our book. You’re intentionally left with a lot of creative agency. We know everybody likes their pizza a little differently, and that’s okay. With a gluten-free crust that is as good (or better) than the real thing, you can’t go wrong.

Regardless of what you’re in the mood for, there is likely a version of it that includes cauliflower. So there is no better time than right now to take that idea and run with it!
