Stahlbush Island Farms is an environmentally friendly farm and food processor committed to sustainable agriculture, exceptional quality, and unsurpassed food safety.

Stahlbush products consistently exceed the industry’s toughest food safety standards. Food safety is an integral part of how we operate on a day to day basis. We are committed to transparency in our farming practices and traceability throughout our vertical growing and processing operation. Our history of servicing industries such as the Japanese food market and baby food companies led us early on to develop the highest possible safety standards in food processing.

SQF Level 3 Certified

Level 3 SQF Certification is a “Comprehensive Food Safety and Quality Management System.” This involves a comprehensive implementation of safety and quality management systems that incorporates the Food Safety Code. This level of certification includes all of the elements from Level 1 and Level 2, taking the process one step further, ensuring that action has been taken to correct or prevent poor quality or contamination through the HACCP process. Level 3 raises the bar by focusing on food quality, as well as safety. Stahlbush Island Farms obtained SQF Level 3 certification the first year it was made available and has consistently scored in the “Excellent” range in our audits ever since.

Our 3rd-Party Audits

In addition to compliance with state and federal regulations, Stahlbush Island Farms invites independent 3rd party inspection of our food safety, sanitation, and documentation procedures. Stahlbush is proud to consistently score in the “excellent” range for food safety audits completed by NSF International.

Examples of Our Safety & Quality Control Measures

Stahlbush continues to increase our spending on pathogen testing, education, and training every year. Included in our food safety program are: routine testing for pathogens such as Listeria, Salmonella, and E Coli. We also have the highest standards for allergen control and prevention of cross- contamination. Pesticide residue, heavy metals, and other specialized tests available upon request.
